You know that little gadget you can’t life without? Yeah, that thing, your cell phone. It keeps us connected with the world now and up to date on news, etc. I am an advocate when it comes to protecting your phone to avoid it being damaged. I always recommend using a phone case that has a lip on the front or a case with a cover. This way when your phone drops it won’t directly hit the phone itself. The next thing I always strive for my *cough* loved ones to do is use screen protector. If you are the type who doesn’t like cases or cases with a lip then you my friend need a screen protector. I can’t even count on my hands how many people I know that have shattered their phone’s screen by not having a protector on it.
I’ve always used the normal, flimsy, plastic screen protectors but after buying my new iPhone 6 I wanted something more heavy duty. I looked at the new tempered glass protectors but was a little undecided. For the money, was it really worth it? I received the Vetro iPhone 6 tempered glass and thought I would give it a shot. I pulled off my current screen protector and crossed my fingers that I would like the new tempered glass one.
The box didn’t come with any instructions but that wasn’t a big deal since most people understand what to do. I used the cloth that came with the protector to clean my phone first but was a little disappointed. It left more dust and residue from the cloth than it cleaned. After using tape to get off all the dust, I gently laid the tempered glass down at an angle to avoid air bubbles. I had to do this a couple of times because the glass was cut just a little too small and I’m a perfectionist with even edges.
Once the glass was on, I loved it. You could see clearly through and it responded without hesitation when I swiped the screen. Now that I’ve had the chance to see the difference between a regular protector and Vetro’s tempered glass protector I have to say it really is worth the money. I feel like my phone is even more protected than it was before.
