Summer Superfood Drink Recipes

I love adding superfoods into everyday meals and snacks to give my body a little more of a boost. I received a bag of Spirulina, Acerola, and Nutritional Yeast from Sari Foods and decided to put them to use. Sari Foods’ products are Certified USDA Organic and they  believe that the foods we eat have the ability to nourish us fully and completely. And, that natural nutrition – as opposed to synthetic, laboratory-made vitamins – provides us with the fuel for life without any of the drawbacks. At Sari Foods Company, their mission to bring you the “Essence of Food”, empowering conscious consumers to return to nutrient dense, single ingredient, pure foods as our source of life and sustenance – just as nature intended. Since I have 3 totally different products all great in nutrition, I decided to gather a list of awesome superfood drink recipes.

Spirulina I had never heard of until recently and was mind blown at how much of a natural, complete protein it was. Since it can be a little pond scum like in taste I knew it would be best in a smoothie or shake of some sort.  Acerola is extremely high in Vitamin C, even more so than oranges! I knew this one would be great in a juice! As for Nutritional Yeast, this one is one of my favorite items to add to my snacks. It has a slight cheese taste so its perfect for popcorn, salad, etc.
