Now that Max is in a mix between baby food and baby led weaning, he’s been eating a lot more table food. With this and trying to make our vegetables as healthy as possible, we decided to start steaming them. I received the Sunsella Stainless Steel Vegetable Steamer in exchange for an honest review and couldn’t be happier with it.
If you’ve never steamed your veggies before its super simple! All you need to do is put about an inch of water in a pot, place the steamer in the bottom and pour your veggies in. Cover the pot and “steam” for however long they require if using frozen veggies or until the desired level of tenderness if using fresh veggies. It couldn’t get any easier and not to mention that steaming your veggies lets them retain more of their nutrients.
The steel steamer not only worked like a charm but also compacts for easy storage. I used the steamer several times and ran it through the dishwasher to check for rusting. So far after 10 uses, there are no signs of wear and tear yet.
Overall, I would highly recommend picking one up if you are interested in steaming your vegetables and you can grab your own here.
