Waist Trainers: Are They Really Doing Anything?

Everyone and their mother have probably seen Kim Kardashian and her super hourglass figure in her waist trainer. All these paid celebrities boasting about a product just makes you not want to believe it. I personally thought waist trainers were ridiculous and served no purpose but I was offered the chance to review an AZSPORT waist trainer so I thought I would give it a try to put the waist trainer nonsense to rest.

AZSPORT waist trainer

When I received the trainer it was simple and didn’t seem to crazy to use so I strapped up and started my work out.I lift, run, do HIIT, and a wide variety of other exercises so I made sure to put this baby to the test. Being that I had a c-section 6 months prior, I immediately felt a difference. Anything that involved jumping always hurt just a little from my tummy being bounced around but with the trainer on, it held everything tight. The velcro on this particular waist trainer is super sturdy and will definitely hold tight on you.

I have been wearing the waist trainer for several weeks now and I am thoroughly impressed. The compression of the trainer has helped me with my endurance on certain exercises that I would give out on due to the pain. The amount of support on my lower back and abdominal muscles have been fantastic and welcomed to my recovering body. Its also been great for maximizing the burn during my workouts by retaining body heat, helping me shed excess water weight,  and helping to improve my posture.

I use to doubt waist trainers and thought they were a ridiculous fad but now my mind has been changed. They are a great product that many fitness enthusiasts could benefit from. I highly recommend the AZSPORT waist trainer as well for anyone who is interested in picking up one of their own!

I have received this product in exchange for an honest review. Regardless of how the product was received, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

That reminds me of the belt I see guys wearing when they lift weights or just are walking around on occasion. I imagine it would at the very least help your posture and help prevent lower back pain.

I must admit, I always wondered about these waist trainers too! Thank you for your honest review and might have to check them out more!

I never knew that is how Kim got her shape. I have never heard of a waist trainer, but I would give it a try.

I have wondered about these trainers as well if they really did “train” your waist. Thanks for your honest review. I may have to invest.

  • Ourfamilyworld

I’ve never used waist trainers before, but after your review, I think I could use this.

  • Amy Ditmore

I have a waist belt similar to this, it’s a soft flexible one and I love to wear it throughout the day for the sweat factor. I’ve wondered about the boned waist trainers, have been curious about how well they work.

  • Liz Mays

I didn;t know about waist trainers. My daughter does a lot of weight lifting. I wonder if this would help her.

Im not a fan of waist trainers, but maybe like you my mind will change after having a baby.

  • Jaime Nicole

I could use one of these just to get through my walks with less pain. Ever since back surgery it doesn’t take much for that lower back pain to put me on the sidelines.

  • Tammileetips

This sounds like it would be amazing for any one training after a baby! I had not realized these were for working out.

My mom used to sell waist trainers before Kim K put them on the mainstream market. I have seen women use it consistenly have really good results happy its working for u!

I thought they were a fad too but it looks like they could have some good uses. that annoying excess water fat is the hardest to get rid of, especially in winter so it would definitely help with that.

  • Krystal

I’m actually pretty intrigued by them. I think they might be useful for those who need them. Thanks for the review.

  • CourtneyLynne

i just got myself a waist trainer and absolutely love it!!! So glad I finally cracked and got one. Best decision in while

  • Miranda (Myrabev)

This for me looks for like the exercise belt than a waist trainer but if it worked for you then I think that’s good I personally will stay away from them but will try exercise belt.

  • XmasDolly

If I remember correctly the only thing a exercise belt or shorts etc did for me was make me sweat and if that helps to lose weight then I’m totally for it!

    Hey Jeska

Its a great post. And really like the way you have explained the things.

My wife has started using the waist cinchers and some of the slimming belts which are actually helping her to manage her weight.

According to me, these are very beneficial and easy way to reduce your weight. Also,, its a very informative post.

    Thanks 🙂
