I’m trying to be more consistent with these but clearly, I’m failing. Since my last update though, I have been diagnosed with polyhydramnios. This means that I carry more amniotic fluid than you typically should during pregnancy. I was only 2 cm over the first time I was checked and then this week it increased to 7 cm over so quite a big jump in two weeks.
WEEKLY BUMPDATE
How big is baby:
The size of a pineapple!
Weight gain this week (followed by total weight gain for this pregnancy thus far):
I believe I am at 17-20lbs currently. As soon as I put my gym membership on hold last month my weight gain started happening.
Maternity clothes:
Leggings are a preggo’s best friend. I can’t fit much of anything else.
Stretch marks:
Nothing new, only old though I’m sure that will change with my polyhydramnios diagnosis.
Belly button:
Pretty flat currently.
Sleep:
Sleep is a battlefield. Sometimes I sleep like a baby and wake up with excruciating pain from being in one position for too long. Other times I’m constantly tossing and turning due to back and hip pain.
Best moment(s) of the week:
Seeing little man in an ultrasound and seeing how cute and chunky his little cheeks are!
Food cravings:
Sweets and carbs for life!
Food aversions:
Eggs are still out.
Symptoms:
Terrible indigestion has returned and my sciatic nerve keeps getting pinched to where I can’t lift my left leg.
Movement:
He moves pretty quickly now a days.
Gender:
He’s a boy!
What I’m looking forward to:
The next ultrasound to see how big he has gotten. Last ultrasound at 31 weeks he was guestimated to be 5lbs 2 ounces already. His head was in the 99th percentile and his legs were measuring 4.5 weeks ahead. Everything else was measuring normal though.
What I’m nervous about:
My water breaking/going into labor early.
What I miss:
Margaritas and pineapple cider beer.
Next appointment:
I have one today and then one every week after.
