With school fast approaching, parents are strategically trying to burn out our kid’s energy we can until that glorious first day of school starts. Living in Arizona, we can’t just take our kids to the park. Instead, we opt for energy-burning activities like those at Phoenix Altitude Trampoline Park.
Phoenix Altitude Trampoline Park
Founded in 2012, Altitude is the fastest growing trampoline park in the world. From birthday parties to group events, they can accommodate any size gathering. The Phoenix Altitude Trampoline Park packs in a Kids Court, Gymnastics Tumble Tracks, Performance Trampolines, Dodgeball Courts, Dunk Lanes and more.
What to Expect
When we arrived at the location we were happy to see that there was something for our whole family. If you are a first-time jumper you will need to fill out a liability waiver for each participant. Once you’re in the system you can head over to the front desk to select a length of time you’d like to stay, grab your bands & socks, and pay. Side note, I love that they color coordinate the bands for each time block. This makes rounding up your kids easier when they announce over the loudspeaker that it’s our time to leave.
Find an area to switch from your shoes to their special jump socks that have grippers. If you don’t want to carry around all of your items after checking in, grab a locker and toss everything in. I believe we paid $3 for a rather large size. Once everything is stowed, its time to jump!
Our Experience
The Kids court is perfect for kids under 6 which is where Bodie was able to spend his time and play. Max was a little hesitant to do the “bigger” trampolines so he enjoyed staying the Kids court as well playing dodge ball and occasionally making his way over to the Dunk Lanes. Evan, of course, had no fear and ran off as fast as he could get his jump socks on. He participated in the rock climbing way, the battle beam, foam pit, and extreme dodgeball. The boys would have stayed all day jumping if we had let them. They loved the camaraderie of the other kids as well as getting to run and jump endlessly.
Burn Baby Burn
Surprisingly 80%of Americans not meeting the recommended amount of daily physical activity. In fact, in Arizona specifically, 53.7% of students were not physically active for the recommended amount which is crazy! As parents, we can set an amazing example by participating in physical activities with our kids versus watching from afar. Altitude is the perfect stop to exercise and burn some calories in a fun way for both kids and parents. Fun fact! It only takes 30 minutes of jumping to burn over 100 calories aka our kids can bounce for hours and be exhausted after. I mean, us parents may be crawling out of there exhausted ourselves but hey, its a win-win in hindsight.
Quick Tips
- You may think you will be okay without water but honestly, you get thirsty so quick! Have some money on hand so you can preemptively purchase a couple of bottles of water at their food court.
- Though the park is open every day, Saturdays they open earlier at 9 am and Sunday they open later at 11 am. We arrived early so we could avoid the crowds and it was well worth it.
- Consider having your next kiddo’s birthday party at Altitude. It’s a great way to keep the kids entertained!
- They offer Teen Nights and Parents Night Out events which are totally worth taking advantage of.
Overall we had an amazing experience at the Phoenix Altitude Trampoline Park. The trampolines were in great condition, everything was clean, and the owner, Joe, was extremely friendly and personable. As we were leaving he gifted the boy’s t-shirts to wear the next time they visit and I also witnessed many families coming up to chat with him. If you or your kids are ever in need of a low-cost after school energy burner to participate in, the Phoenix Altitude Trampoline Park is the place.
I like it when individuals come together and share opinions. Great site, keep it up!
