“I have partnered with Wet Ones® Hand Wipes on this post to encourage you to embrace the messy moments in life.”
Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday. Nothing is more exciting or fun than picking out costumes(we always do family ones), setting up decorations, and carving pumpkins. Every year though I get too excited and do things way earlier than I should for this Arizona weather. I love seeing my carved pumpkins by the front door when I get home however, our weather is 80-90’s in October so when you get all excited and carve your pumpkin more than 3-4 days before Halloween, it doesn’t go so well.
This year I decided to do all my inside decorating first, outside second, and finally to carve pumpkins last. Since I made a valid effort to wait to carve pumpkins, they should survive the next few days until Halloween before rotting and attracting 10 million flies.
This year since we are going to be the Mickey Mouse gang so I made sure we did at least one pumpkin as Mickey and the rest as our normal stencils. We picked up our pumpkins at Mother Nature’s Farm here in Gilbert and was surprised at how nice they were inside. Yes, I’m sure that sounds weird but the pulp was so easy to pull out!
Sometimes I’m that mom who hates messes but when it comes to other things like carving pumpkins, I like to embrace family memories by letting my little ones be more hands on. With carving pumpkins come a house full of messy moments so I had to make sure I had a package or two of Wet Ones on my side – because with Wet Ones® hand wipes you’re always covered.
Wet Ones® Antibacterial Hand Wipes are the convenient 2-in-1 way to wipe out dirt and messes and kill 99.99% of germs when soap and water aren’t readily available. I know what you’re thinking, that has to be harsh on your skin but they actually contain aloe and lanolin which makes them incredibly gentle on your skin. Since they are a wipe, you can actually wipe away messes and clean little hands better than using hand sanitizer alone.
Since this was Max’s first pumpkin carving he could officially help with, there were messy toddler hands everywhere! He ended up covered in pumpkin goo from head to toe and couldn’t have been more happy about it. I love seeing the sweet innocence in toddlers learning and exploring different textures. They soak up knowledge like a sponge and its so important to allow them to enjoy these messy moments.
After 2 hours or so we finally finished our pumpkin master pieces and I headed straight for the Wet Ones to clean up Hurricane Max. The wipes were so easy to use and cleaned up all the pumpkin goo in minutes without calling for an immediate bath. Max was able to go on his way playing while mommy used a couple more wipes to clean up the table and myself.
Growing up with 5 other siblings my mom carried a container of Wet Ones in the mini van to keep us clean because we were always getting messy. Though it wasn’t on purpose, I’m happy to keep the tradition alive with my own little ones. Though you don’t have to choose just a container, you can purchase them in one of the three convenient sizes available at mass drug and grocery stores. And if you’d like to know more info feel free to visit www.WetOnes.com.
Happy Halloween!

Pumpkin carving is the best, but it CAN get messy. I’ll have to bust out the Wet Ones the next time we carve.
Pumpkin carving is so fun, but I absolutely DREAD the cleanup. Wet Ones is perfect for it, yet I never thought to have them handy before. I usually walk my son through the house, hands in the air, all the way to the sink to avoid him touching walls and doors haha
We don’t do much pumpkin-carving here in my country ( BOO! ) so I enjoy reading all these Halloween posts from US bloggers. Wet Ones though has always been a trusted brand and it’s always handy to have it whether at home or even in your bag.
I have a four and seven year old and we still use these. Kids are still really geeky at this age.
Wet Ones come in handy for everything when you have little ones. It is always fun to watch the little ones dig their hands in the pumpkin to pull out the guts and see they grossed out faces. lol Thanks for sharing your adorable little one and your experience.
He is such a handsome little guy. I bet he loved his pumpkin when it was done. We did ours a few days ago and that’s about how long it lasted.
It really doesn’t get much messier than carving pumpkins now does it? I love wet ones for on the go especially.
We love to decorate for Halloween. I always keep Wet Wipes in my bag and in the car. You never know when a mess will happen.
I bought my son a pumpkin the other day to carve and silly me forgot to get newspaper to help contain the mess. I still haven’t carved it with him and now I am debating it. The pumpkin is sitting on the bar and it looks nice up there. 🙂
i love carving pumpkins with my kids, but they do get messy! Wet ones sound perfect for getting the clean up job done!
Yup, carving pumpkins can get messy but it sure is a lot of fun. Never thought of getting wet ones though. Will grab some next time!
Awww, adorable little guy! Such cute pictures. I always keep hand wipes in my handbag, it is a must!
Yup, very few things can match 5 kids carving pumpkins for a mess. Wet ones are a great tool.
When my kids were young I always had a package of wet ones in my diaper bag! I still sometimes put them in my older kids lunches. They are such a great product and perfect to clean up any mess that we find ourselves in.
I remember the mess that comes with carving pumpkins. It’s great that Wet Ones can help clean up that mess!
I have tried pumpkin carving in the past and I agree that it can be pretty messy! Thankfully, that is where Wet Ones come into play.
Carving pumpkins is definitely messy!!! My daughter is scared of all the pumpkin guts lol…. we do love wet ones though. I always carry them in my purse
Such a fun night. We normally spread a bunch of newspaper on the floor and go to town. BUT, clean up can still be a pain if you don’t have the right products to help. We used a ton of Wet Ones last week during our family pumpkin carving party. Great stuff… huge fans! We also used them to rub down our pumpkins since I recently learned you are supposed to do that! Good stuff!!
Quite useful… look ahead to returning
Howdy! Quick question that’s totally off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My blog looks weird when browsing from my iphone 4. I’m trying to find a template or plugin that might be able to resolve this issue. If you have any suggestions, please share. Thank you!
