Secondary infertility is no stranger to me. My husband and I have tried many times over the years to conceive baby number four with no luck yet. I heard about a new fertility tracking device that sparked my interest and decided why not? I wanted to share my fertility journey with Mira Fertility so others struggling to conceive know there’s another option on the market.
My Fertility Journey
Due to the lack of unsuccessful conception efforts, the hubs and I decided to narrow it all down to one last shot. I am 34 and approaching the “geriatric” age of having another baby and not to mention, it’s so much harder on my body the older I get.
Wrapping all of that together, we decided we are giving it a try for the next few months then calling it quits. I know for some it may be a let down but honestly, we have three kiddos already and if the universe doesn’t think the fourth is meant to be, then it’s not and we will be happy with that decision.
Say Hello to Mira
Along my fertility journey I have taken ovulation tests, tracked my cycle through apps, stayed on top of examining my cervical mucus, and all. We’ve talked about speaking with a physician in the past but at this point, we are more interested in finding tools, knowledge, and technology that could make baby number 4 a potential reality.
This is where my fertility journey with MiraFertility comes to fruition. Mira is different from the many other methods out in the market. Unlike methods that offer a simple positive or negative, Mira Fertility analyzer makes it possible to track your fertility hormones with actual numbers when trying to conceive or avoid getting pregnant.
Fertility Hormone Tracking with Mira
By simply using the Mira analyzer and MiraApp I’ve found out SO MUCH information that I never knew before. I’ve gained more insight into my cycle phases, my hormone patterns, and all my fertile versus infertile days.
Yes, I know ovulation tests track your LH levels but did you know you should also track your estrogen and progesterone levels too for better insight? I sure didn’t! Come to find out, Estrogen is an integral part in the fertility process! Each hormone plays a role for the others in order to create a fertile environment.
I even found out that I tend to ovulate sooner than the average person which in turn will help me pinpoint the best time to conceive. Outside of conceiving, tracking your hormone levels also relates to IVF, menopause, hormone imbalances like PCOS as well as other conditions.
How to Use the Mira Analyzer
The Mira analyzer comes with a quick start guide, case, charger, and 10 test wands to measure your LH and E3G hormone levels. If you’d like to track your progesterone too, be sure to add a box of wands to your order!
Once you’ve charged the analyzer, download the MiraApp to connect the device via bluetooth. Next you would collect a urine sample in one of the little cups that comes with and dip your test wand in it for 10 seconds. After time is up, pull off the cap from the back of the wand and place it over the liquid side. Once capped again, slide it into your Mira analyzer and wait 15 minutes for results. It’s that simple!
My Experience with MiraFertility
So how do I like the device? Would I recommend it? Abso-freaking-lutely! I have only been using the analyzer and app for one cycle and I’m already obsessed with the amount of knowledge I’ve gained. I will keep updating everyone about my fertility journey with Mira along the way even if it doesn’t result in a pregnancy because I truly love the power I feel in knowing more about my body now.
Lastly, I want to make sure I’m able to pass on a discount to all of you, so if you use the code “JESS25” you will receive $25 off your starter kit when purchasing! Happy tracking!
