If you are anything like me, every time you catch a glimpse of a picture with a beach you start fantasizing about lying in the sun with a cocktail in your hand. The right shade of the color blue makes me feel the ocean breeze, and if I close my eyes, I can almost feel the sun kissing my skin.
So, when it’s time to pack your swimming suit and head out for dreamy places what are your top options? Last year, I went to visit Panama City Beach, and I have to share this with you because it’s not fair to keep it to myself. So, here it goes.
Miles of White Magic
When you go to the beach, you look forward to playing in the sand, but Panama City Beach is taking this to a whole other level. We are talking about 27 miles of sugar-white sand and turquoise clear waters, which require #nofilter, just admiring the work of Mother Nature.
Fortunately Panama City Beach suffered minimal impact. Surrounding neighbors like Panama City (across the bridge) and Mexico Beach were hit much harder. So pack your bag and visit the Real. FUN. Beach.
Family Time
A day at the beach when you are a parent can only mean one thing: FUN! No matter if you are more outdoorsy and athletic or enjoy being a beach potato, you will find something for you and your loved ones here. If you ask me, I just love spending time with a good book under an umbrella while my hubby releases his inner child together with our three boys. Other families prefer a more wheels-on approach to spend their time at the beach and rent bikes to explore the surroundings. There are a lot of different activities like adventure parks and water parks. No matter which option you opt for, plan your fun today.
Full speed ahead in Panama City Beach
If so far it sounds like this is more like a place for relaxing families, I’ve got news for you. High-speed jet skiing, parasailing, and airboats are just a few of the things which can get your adrenaline pumping if you are more on the extreme side of fun. For an immersive experience in the most literal sense, you can try deep diving or a guided scuba diving tour. Your vacation can be anything so make it yours.
I love long walks on the beach
As cheesy as it sounds, I love wine, sunsets, and long walks on a beach. So its no surprise that I would sign us up for a spa treatment for couples or sing along to your favorite tunes at a concert. Dancing, cocktails and lifetime memories, included, of course. If you get hungry, you could try one of the many romantic restaurants which serve everything from seafood to Mexican, usually accompanied by live music and other surprises.
Eco-fun
It’s never too early to teach your littles about the beauty of nature and the need to take care of it. We tend to forget that our few days of relaxing and having fun should not lead to the destruction of beautiful natural habitats. If you get bored of lying in the sun, you can become one with nature by exploring the Gulf surroundings. If you are more the outdoorsy type of family, why not rent an RV and go camping, there are options available.
I hope I’ve tempted you enough and gave you a few ideas to help you plan your next vacation. Spring and summer is coming so why not spend it in an exotic setting which is not so far away from home?
