Who would have thought that in 2020 we would be welcomed by a pandemic that would stop us from living our normal daily lives? Not me! Since we just moved to Washington from Arizona, we went almost immediately into the stay at home order.
We didn’t have any time to find new doctors, hairstylists, and other necessities, and sadly, I was already overdue a cleaning from the dentist! In the meantime, here’s how to keep your teeth healthy during quarantine…or at least what I do!
Invest in an Electric Toothbrush
Before I ever used an electric toothbrush, I never understood what the hype was all about. Once I invested in a quality brush, I was floored. Try as you may, a traditional toothbrush takes way more time and effort to get your teeth sparkling clean. That’s why the first step to keep your teeth healthy during quarantine is investing in an electric rechargeable toothbrush!
Gleem Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush
If you’re not sure where to turn to or don’t want to drop a fortune on an electric toothbrush, then have no fear! GLEEM is here! The GLEEM Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush comes in at a steal of deal from Walmart for less than $50! Yes, you read that right.
The GLEEM Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush offers two brush modes which is perfect for those, like me, who are due a cleaning but can’t get to the dentist right now. The first mode is the Classic Clean. This mode is great for everyday use. The second mode is GLEEM clean, which is desperately what my permanent retainer teeth buildup needs! This mode offers extra brushing power to help breakdown the crud on your teeth.
Each GLEEM toothbrush comes with one handle (Coral, Slate, Aqua, or Pearl), one brush head, one charger, and one travel case. I’m a sucker for coral and aqua as I love having fun colored toothbrushes! Not to mention when your brush head needs to be replaced, you can just snap on a new one instead of using a whole new toothbrush.
I’m going to say it…Flossing
I know, I know, I literally hate flossing my teeth too. I don’t know why such a simple task is so daunting but every time I’ve consistently flossed my teeth, my cleanings go so much smoother. Not to mention, flossing can keep gum disease at bay and if you don’t know, gum disease has been linked to many other medical health problems.
So, after you’re done binging on Easter candy or finishing your wine, brush your teeth and brack out that unloved waxy string in your medicine cabinet. It only makes sense to start now to keep your teeth healthy during quarantine.
Whiten Those Pearlies
Now you may be thinking, how does whitening your teeth correlate to being healthy? Well, my friend, teeth whitening does more than boost your self-esteem, it also helps kill bacteria that may cause gum disease and tooth decay. Who knew, right?
Though there are many, many options on the market when it comes to teeth whitening, I’ve learned to stick with what I love and what I find effective.
Gleem One Week Professional Teeth Whitening Light Kit + Booster Strips
GLEEM’s One Week Professional Teeth Whitening Light Kit + Booster Strips works wonders on those of us who could use a little boost in the smile department. In as little as 3 days, you will start seeing results with GLEEM’s Light Kit to start. And since GLEEM uses the same enamel-safe whitening ingredient that dentists use, after 7 days your teeth can reach a pro-level whitening shade without the added cost!
GLEEM uses Blue LED light technology which targets those yucky yellow tooth stains and delivers a GLEEM-ingly brighter smile. This whitening kit also includes 7 additional whitening treatments to keep your smile game strong throughout the rest of the year.
Though we aren’t seeing the light at the end of this tunnel just yet, you can at least aim to keep your teeth healthy during quarantine until you can see a dentist again!
I put the toothpaste on the brush then turned it on. The toothpaste flew off across the room. Note to self…..Must put toothbrush in mouth before turning on
