Every time I’ve become pregnant, I’m always so excited to sign up for baby registries. Every store offers different items and with the time gap, I want to know what’s new and happening. One baby registry may load you up with coupons while the other gives you tons of samples. I decided to sign up for 5 of the most popular baby registries on the market to see who gave you the most bang for your time.
BabiesRUs
When you think of baby stores, what is the first one that pops into your head? I would be majorly surprised if it wasn’t BabiesRUs. The mass retailer is a pretty dominant player in the baby game so signing up for a baby registry through them only makes sense. I will say, however, to be such a big retailer, their registry bag proved to be the lightest of them all.
Their bag was a paper bag filled with the following:
- 1 Nuk Pacifier
- 1 Mam 4 oz Bottle
- 1 $20 Shutterfly Gift Card
- 1 Pampers sample bag that contained 1 diaper and 1 sample pack of wipes
- 1 $20 credit to Tiny Prints
Doesn’t seem like too bad of a registry bag until you see what others are offering for your business as a new mom.
Babylist
Babylist is the newest member on the baby registry block. Babylist is a site and app where you can add all of your registries into one location. You don’t have to post I’m registered here, here, here, and here to friends and family. Instead, you send them one link that has everything listed and where they can buy it. Babylist offered a free box if you created a registry and added so many items so I figured, why not? The box ended up boosting more than I expected for a newcomer!
The Babylist box came filled with the following:
- 1 Carter’s onesie(score!)
- 1 Mam 4oz Bottle
- 1 Sample Pack of Water Wipes
- 1 Set of Age Milestone Cards by Carters
- 1 sample pack of Smarty Pants Prenatal Vitamins
- 1 sample set of Lansinoh disposable breast pads
- 20% off coupon for anything at the Stowaway Collection
- 1 sample of Spruce & Co cleaning wipe
- 1 Babymov coupon
- 1 20% off coupon for Carter’s
- 1 coupon purse
- 1 coupon diamonds
Can you start to see a difference in separation in quality starting to show?
Amazon
Next up on the list would be the Amazon baby box. Amazon is everyone’s favorite 2-day shipping discount site to grab anything and everything for cheap. Amazon is an easy way to start a registry from home versus going into a store. Amazon doesn’t offer the product you’re looking for? No problem, install the Amazon web tool on your browser and you can add items from any site. Once you have your registry set up, they will send you your welcome baby box for free.
The cardboard box came with the following:
- 1 Bandana Bib
- 1 Sample Pack of Water Wipes
- 3 Sample Packs of Dreft Detergent
- 2 sample Honest diapers and 1 sample pack of wipes
- 1 Pampers sample bag that contained 1 diaper and 1 sample pack of wipes
- 1 Sample Huggies Diaper
- 1 sample set of Lansinoh disposable breast pads
- 1 Baby Dove Baby Wash Sample
- 1 Muslin Swaddle
- 1 Vichy 89 Sample
- 1 Loreal Revitalift Sample
- 1 La Rouch-Posay Sample
- 1 Baby Bloom Wipe Sample
Target
Next up is honestly a tie for me. The Target registry bag and the BuyBuyBaby bag were pretty good competitors. Not to mention, what mom doesn’t love everything Target has to offer?
The Target registry bag is a reusable bag filled with the following:
- 1 reusable bag
- 1 Pampers sample bag that contained 1 diaper and 1 sample pack of wipes
- 1 sample Babyganics diaper
- 2 sample Honest diapers and 1 sample pack of wipes
- $5 off coupon on a Munchkin Step Pail
- BOGO Target Starbucks Coupon
- 1 20% off Cloud Island Coupon
- 1 NUK Pacifier
- 1 Mam Pacifier
- 1 sample set of Lansinoh disposable breast pads
- 1 4oz Avent Bottle
- 1 Baby Dove Baby Wash Sample
- 1 Skin Therapy Oil Sample with coupon
- 1 Aveeno Baby Wash Sample
- 1 Aquaphor Sample and $1 off coupon
BuyBuy Baby
Target’s tie is the BuyBuy Baby bag that doesn’t boast a ton of full-size products but was definitely raking in the sample products. BuyBuy Baby is also a massive retailer that is a great comparison to BabiesRUs but as you can see, rewards their registry participants with a full bag of goodies to try.
The BuyBuy Baby bag was a nicer gift bag filled with the following:
- 1 fitPREGNANCY Magazine
- 1 Baby on Board Sign
- 1 Balmex Sample with coupon
- 1 Route Nile Filer Sample
- 2 sample Honest diapers and 1 sample pack of wipes
- 2 Avent Bottle Coupons
- 1 Mam Pacifier
Everything here looks great!! I like the amazon one the best though
