With Thanksgiving this week, it’s hard to keep my Christmas spirit under wraps any longer. Today we busted out the Christmas movies and started binge watching while I worked. Though there are a lot movies showcased during Christmas, I find many aren’t about Christmas at all. I decided to create my list of the best Christmas movies to get you in the holiday spirit.
I took the liberty of linking each movie to all the formats available on Amazon Prime so you can get them quickly and on the cheap! Also, some of the blu-ray copies are cheaper than the DVD themselves so if you have a player, I’d snag it. Don’t forget about cyber Monday too as some of these may drop even further in price!
Good for the Whole Family
The Santa Clause (DVD, Blu-ray)
I’ll be Home for Christmas (DVD)
Christmas with the Kranks (DVD)
Miracle on 34th Street (DVD, Blu-ray)
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (DVD, Blu-ray)
Jingle All the Way (DVD, Blu-ray)
Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer (DVD, Blu-ray)
Frosty the Snowman (DVD, Blu-ray)
A Christmas Carol (DVD, Blu-ray)
Mickey’s Christmas Carol (DVD, Blu-ray)
A Christmas Story (DVD, Blu-ray)
A Charlie Brown Christmas (DVD, Blu-ray)
The Polar Express (DVD, Blu-ray)
Jack Frost (DVD)
Christmas Movies for the Grown Ups
Most of these your teen could probably watch but I’ll leave that up to each parent’s own discretion. Some parents are more caution than others so that’s why I give it a flat label of “grown up” Christmas movies.
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (DVD, Blu-ray)
The Family Stone (DVD)
Surviving Christmas (DVD, Blu-ray)
Love the Coopers (DVD, Blu-ray)
Earnest Saves Christmas (DVD)
Four Christmases (DVD, Blu-ray)

I have so many favorite Christmas movies. I love them all. A Christma Story is my favorite one to watch with the grandkids.
These are some of my favorite Christmas movies, too! I think one of our family favorites is the Nightmare Before Christmas, which also doubles as one of our favorite Haloween films, too!
I actually prefer the kids movies to the adult, even though my kids are grown. A Christmas Story is one that I watch every year.

We watch Jingle All the Way every Christmas! It’s a tradition at our house. We also watch Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer but I am not sure that would be listed under movies.
Wow this list would keep me busy forever!! I love the variety though – perfect for cold winter nights!

I love all of these movies. My channel has been on Hallmark since they started playing their Christmas movies. Abby was just saying yesterday she can’t wait to see “A Charlie Brown Christmas” again this year. Me too.

Oh my, hadn’t realized how many movies there are about Christmas. Personally, those Claymation ones are Babushka’s Favorites, reminding me of a very Blessed Childhood. Gracias for the happy memories. BB2U
