One of the goals on my bucket list is to visit all the seven wonders of the world so obviously, visiting the Grand Canyon was going to be a part of that. After a short 4-hour drive, we reached our destination and I was pumped. The price to get in was only $12 per car to get I believe which is relatively cheap if you have a car full.
We got out and started making our way around the canyon and hiking around one of the many trails for about 3 hours. I really loved looking at it but it was almost surreal. It was as though I was looking at a photo and it wasn’t actually there in front of me. I know many are shocked when I tell them this. It is beautiful, it can be stunning but it just falls flat for me. It is so large that it looks like a photo and like you can reach out and touch it. Obviously, I highly suggest not trying to do that as you can fall to your death and sadly, many die each year by not playing it safe.
I always come back to update my post every couple of years and this one still stands. I have been to the Grand Canyon a handful of times from friends traveling to see me. Overall, visiting the grand canyon is a must-see for many but it can all be done within 30 minutes still, in my opinion. Just a quick look then I would head to other areas around the state that have much more to offer such as antelope canyon, Sedona, and the Arizona White Mountains area.
Amazing photos Jess. Can you believe that I have been all around the nation but never to the Grand Canyon? I think I need to put it on my to do list for later this year.
