“This post was created as part of the #GenesisTodaySuperfoods August Challenge in which I am a financially compensated blogger ambassador for Genesis Today. The opinions are my own and based on my own experience.”
It’s finally August and with the heat blaring all around the US, the last thing you want to drink is a hot beverage on a summer day. Your first thoughts may be sweet lemonades, ice cream cones, and coolers by the pool but as for me, I love smoothies. Give me all the fruit and a scoop of protein and I’m set.
As an ambassador for Genesis Today, I received a variety of their products and was super excited to try them all and work them into my everyday diet. For those of you who don’t know, Genesis Today is a progressive nutrition company specializing in superfoods that your body can actually absorb. For this recipe I incorporated two Genesis Today products, the Trim Protein and the Resveratrol.
The Trim Protein was the most unexpected protein powder I’ve ever tasted in the best way. Being a plant based, vegan protein, I expected a heavy plant taste and was thoroughly surprised when I took my first sip. The blend of quinoa, amaranth, chia, and other sprouted seeds mixed with superfruits like goji, acai and sea buckthorn creates an awesomely sweet taste that’s not plant-like at all! After downing a 16 gram serving of the protein, I knew it would be perfect for a smoothie recipe.
Now Resveratrol I knew was in wine but I had no idea it could stand alone as well. After skeptically tasting a 1 ounce serving I was surprised to find that it tastes like grapes. Their proprietary blend is packed with 150 times more resveratrol than one glass of red wine which is rather impressive. So if you want the cardiovascular health benefits of red wine but don’t like the taste, then Resveratrol is for you!
To get started, I wanted to add a summery touch to my smoothie. I decided pairing watermelon and papaya along with the #GenesisTodaySuperfoods would be a great health packed punch to create a perfect summertime smoothie. I have to say, this watermelon papaya smoothie turned out way better than my taste buds had planned so I had to share the recipe with you all below. Also, from now until September 10th, using the code SUPERSUMMER will get you a whopping 20% off anything online. That’s a steal!
- 1/2 cup water or milk of choice
- 1 cup watermelon
- 1/3 cup papaya
- 1 tbsp plain greek yogurt
- 1 ounce Genesis Today Resveratrol
- 2 scoops Genesis Today Trim Protein
- Cut up on papaya and watermelon into 1 inch cubes.
- Mix water/milk with the protein until well blended.
- Add all ingredients into a blender and mix to desired consistency.

This sounds like quite the drink. Sounds refreshing and good for you too. Always love to find great tasting things that are good for me so I am adding this to my list to try!
Your recipe sounds delicious. I like the combination of watermelon and papaya! I” have to check out the Resveratrol. That red wine benefit sounds interesting. We don’t consume alcohol but know red wine has health benefits. I’ve never seen a product like this. Heading to check it out right now.
Your smoothie sounds healthy, yet delicious. Sometimes it’s hard to get both in a smoothie. I didn’t realize that Resveratrol could stand alone. I’ll have to check it out.

Yum! I’m a big fan of smoothies, too. It’s nice to know that there are nutritional supplements out there with nutrients your body can actually absorb. Often that isn’t the case! Sounds like combining this with a smoothie is the perfect mix!
Our teenage daughter is vegan, and just recently decided to try protein powder smoothies. Not sure if she has tried this brand, I’ll have to ask her.
